Czechia reported the benefits refugees from Ukraine bring to the economy.

Refugees from Ukraine are actively seeking employment in Czechia, which has a positive impact on economic indicators, the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of Czechia reported. In the first three months of 2025, these refugees contributed over 124.5 million euros to the state budget, more than they received in social benefits and support, the ministry stated.
«The vast majority of Ukrainians in Czechia are working and contributing more to our budget than they receive in social assistance. Some people spread false information to increase hostility towards Ukrainians and gain political points... It is important to note that Ukrainians, paying taxes just like everyone else, do not have the right to receive certain state benefits available to Czech citizens. This makes complaints against them even more unjust. Moreover, considering not only social expenses but also expenses for healthcare and others», - said the head of the agency, Marian Jurečka.
Continuation of refugee integration
The Ministry of Labor believes that in the future, income from Ukrainian refugees will continue to grow while expenses will decrease. Their contribution to the Czech economy is evident not only in tax payments but also in their active participation in construction, agriculture, gastronomy, and other sectors that rely on their labor. Furthermore, Ukrainians spend money earned in Czechia, which contributes to the overall growth of the state budget.
