Funeral Assistance 2025: new amounts and rules for pensioners and military personnel.

Payments for funerals in Ukraine in 2025: what you need to know
Ukrainians have been informed about the payments the state provides to cover funeral expenses in 2025 and how to receive assistance. This was reported by the press service of the Pension Fund of Ukraine.
The relatives of the deceased pensioner can expect a one-Time funeral assistance from the state. The amount of this support usually equals two monthly pensions of the deceased. For participants in military operations, this amount can be increased to three pensions, but not less than 15,140 hryvnias.
In particular, to apply for compensation, it is necessary to have the applicant's identification code, a death certificate of the pensioner, the applicant's passport, an extract from the State Register of Civil Status Acts, or a death certificate.
If the pensioner died without receiving their last pension, their heirs or persons living with them may receive these funds. For this, one must contact the local office of the Pension Fund of Ukraine and present the relevant documents.
If the deceased was the sole breadwinner in the family, their non-working relatives have the opportunity to apply for a pension due to the loss of the breadwinner, the amount of which is calculated individually.
The funds may be transferred to a bank account, or payment may be made through the 'Swift Kopeyka' system at Oschadbank. In this case, it is necessary to have the passport and identification number with you.
Grieving Ukrainians receive support and assistance from the state, which helps in matters of burial and supporting families during difficult times in their lives.
