The Decarbonization Fund will receive 1.75 billion UAH in revenues from the carbon emissions tax by 2025
Maria Malaya, the first deputy head of the State Agency for Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving, announced that the 'Decarbonization Fund' will receive 1.75 billion UAH in revenues from the carbon emissions tax by 2025.
'This year, we expected it to be 700 million UAH, but we have revenues from the carbon tax amounting to 1.4 billion UAH. Next year, 1.75 billion UAH is already included in the budget,' said Malaya.
Malaya emphasized that the Decarbonization Fund receives stable financing, which is not dependent on budget reallocations.
'We plan to expand. Primarily, we have high hopes for the financial leasing program, under which communities or businesses will immediately receive equipment for implementing projects,' said Malaya.
According to her, preferential conditions for providing energy-efficient equipment based on proposals from Western partners will be implemented.
In 2025, a grant program for the public sector is planned to be launched, covering government bodies, libraries, and universities.
