The General Staff confirmed the strike on the factory in the Russian Federation that produces batteries for Iskanders and missiles.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed the strike on the PAO 'Energia' factory in the town of Yelets in the Lipetsk region of the Russian Federation. This information was released on Facebook by generals. On the night of May 23, units of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in cooperation with other defense units, attacked the PAO 'Energia' factory, as evidenced by explosions and fires at the facility.
PAO 'Energia' is engaged in the production of chemical power sources, batteries for aviation bombs, as well as batteries for heavy military equipment. Stopping this enterprise may deprive Russian forces of critically important power supply elements. The General Staff emphasized that Ukrainian troops remain vigilant and continue to strike important military facilities in the Russian Federation, aiming their actions at stopping the aggression against Ukraine.
Context and Analysis
Considering the previous attacks on defense industry facilities in Russia, it can be assumed that Ukraine is actively responding to the threat from the neighboring country. Attacks on important military facilities in Russia, such as factories producing weapons and power elements, indicate that Ukraine is taking steps to protect its territorial integrity and respond to hostile threats.
