Italian business explores the eco-investment potential of Ukraine.


Ukraine and Italy agreed on attracting 'green' investments
The Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine, Svitlana Hrynchuk, during her visit to Italy, met with the Vice-President of 'Assolombardia', Alvise Biffi, to discuss attracting 'green' investments to Ukraine.
The organization 'Assolombardia' unites companies from various sectors, such as chemical industry, energy, aerospace, and others. Each of these companies shows interest in investing in 'green' solutions. During the meeting, they discussed the Italian experience in transitioning to 'green' industry, support programs, and the challenges Italy faces. Svitlana Hrynchuk stated that Ukraine is also interested in cooperation and is ready to share its experience.
In addition, the minister discussed with Italian entrepreneurs the use of energy-efficient solutions and the development of geothermal energy. Italian entrepreneurs confirmed their interest in the Ukrainian market. The main aspect of cooperation between the two countries is transparent rules for investors that stimulate collaboration.
The minister reported that the partnership between Ukraine and Italy is important for both parties, and that about 180 Italian companies and industrial associations have expressed their readiness to assist in the recovery of Ukraine. Cooperation and results are to be presented at the URC-2025 Conference.
