Former head doctor of the Khmelnytsky Regional Medical and Social Expertise Center, Tetiana Krupa, is suspected of illegal enrichment. According to the investigation, Krupa visited Turkey before her arrest. This information became available after the analysis of her phone, particularly her application for treatment at a Turkish medical institution was found. Krupa also corresponded with an employee who was supposed to help her arrange an invitation for diagnostics and treatment at the healthcare facility. These found evidences indicate that Krupa received permission for treatment under the pretext of vacation.
During the searches in Krupa's apartment, significant sums of cash were found. The money, which is currently under arrest, was located in various parts of the apartment. At the same Time, Krupa reported an amount of 24 million UAH in official income for 2023. In total, more than 150 real estate objects belonging to Krupa and her family have been arrested.
Krupa was arrested on October 4, 2024, and the next day she was notified of the suspicion of illegal enrichment. She was taken into custody but managed to be released on bail of 260 million UAH. However, the bail amount was later reduced to 230 million UAH.
After the MSEC scandal, the authorities decided to liquidate medical and social expert commissions and replace them with expert teams.
