Pentagon: The US was unaware of Ukraine's intentions to eliminate the Russian general.

The Ukrainian side did not warn the United States about the operation to eliminate Russian General Kirillov, who was involved in the use of banned chemical weapons against Ukraine.
This information was provided by General Patrick Ryder, a Pentagon spokesman, at a press briefing, as reported by Ukrinform.
'I can say that we did not find out about this operation in advance,' Ryder said.
The US official responded in this way to the question of whether American military personnel had assisted Ukraine in eliminating the Russian general. Ryder emphasized that the United States does not support such actions and does not provide any support or capabilities for this.
The Pentagon general also noted that he received information from the Ukrainian side about this operation but cannot disclose more details than those already released by the media.
Recall that on December 17, as a result of an explosion on Ryazansky Prospekt in Moscow, the head of the radiation, chemical, and biological protection forces of the RF Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov, and his assistant were killed.
