The occupiers are not clearing the rubble in Luhansk after the Russian aggression
In the temporarily occupied territories of Luhansk, under the ruins of destroyed houses, there are still bodies of people killed by Russian occupiers. This was reported by Artem Lysogor, the head of the Luhansk regional military administration.
“In the so-called LPR, the occupiers acknowledged that they do not conduct systematic work to clear the rubble of destroyed houses built by Russians in 2022, under which the bodies of civilians remain. According to the “Commissioner for Human Rights in the LPR”, the local occupation authorities regularly receive relevant information, but the situation has remained unchanged for more than 2.5 years,” he noted.
Lysogor added that the population of Popasna continues to decrease, currently only about 250 people live there.
Russian authorities have repeatedly stated that restoring this city, destroyed by Russian troops, is ineffective. Therefore, people there remain without assistance.
“Before the full-scale aggression, about 20 thousand citizens lived in the city,” the head of the Luhansk OVA reminded.
