According to purchasing power parity (PPP), Poland has equaled Japan in GDP per capita. This information was emphasized by Oleg Popenko, an expert in Ukraine's energy sector and founder of the NGO 'Consumers' Association of Utility Services.'
Interestingly, Poland has achieved the same level of GDP per capita (PPP) as Japan
According to reports from the World Bank and the IMF, in 2023, GDP per capita in Japan was $46,268, while in Poland, this figure was $44,051.
Popenko emphasized that Poland's 'economic miracle' is a valuable experience for Ukraine, as Poland has more similarities with Ukraine in socio-cultural criteria than China or Georgia with Singapore

The expert also mentioned that Ukraine and Poland began reforms around the same Time on the same economic basis. At the same time, he stressed that Ukraine and Poland have achieved different economic indicators.
