Memorable Dmytro Rudyka: life and feat
Every day at 9 AM Ukrainians honor the memory of all those whose lives were taken by the Russian-Ukrainian war. Today we remember Dmytro Rudyka.
Serviceman Dmytro Rudyka, known as Hrek, died on February 29, 2024, defending Ukraine from Russian occupiers. His life path and feat impressed many.
Born on November 4, 1981, in Lviv, Dmytro attended a lyceum in the city and lived in Greece for about 20 years. After returning to Ukraine in 2015, Rudyka worked in the woodworking industry, actively helped volunteers and participated in volunteer competitions, and also enjoyed traveling and motorcycling.
A participant in defensive actions in the southern direction, Dmytro Rudyka died in service on February 29, 2024. His funeral took place on May 21, 2025, and he rests in Lychakiv Cemetery.
Among those left behind are his wife, parents, brothers, sisters, and other relatives who remember him as a kind and just person. Let's honor the memory of Ukrainian heroes who gave their lives for the peace and independence of Ukraine.
