Polish Presidency in the EU: Supporting Ukraine is a Priority of the Spring European Council.

EU Leaders Will Make Decisions on Supporting Ukraine and Pressuring Russia
During the spring meeting of the European Council, which will take place on March 20-21, heads of state and government of the European Union will make decisions regarding support for Ukraine and increasing pressure on Russia. This information was reported by the Polish Minister for EU Affairs, Adam Schlapka.
According to Schlapka, the meeting discussed the issue of supporting Ukraine as well as various approaches to frozen assets. He added that the EU will not forget about Ukraine and will support it until a just, comprehensive, and lasting peace is achieved.
'I would like to congratulate the European Union on the adoption of the 16th sanctions package. Allow me to emphasize very firmly: it is Russia that started this war. Russia is responsible for war crimes. It is Russia that poses a threat to the EU and to the international order. And it is Russia that must pay for its own criminal war,' said Schlapka.
The minister also noted that a moment of silence was observed during the meeting of the EU General Affairs Council to honor the victims of the Russian aggressive war, which has been ongoing for three years.
