Scandal with textbooks priced at 3900 UAH. The publishing house 'Ranok' explained how such an amount appeared.

The publishing house 'Ranok' acknowledged the mistake in calculations and decided to reduce the price of the low-circulation textbook for the 8th grade by half. Now its price will be 1933 UAH, not 3900 UAH, as was initially announced. The general director of the company, Viktor Kruglov, explained that the error occurred due to inaccuracies in the calculations.
The order for printing textbooks for the 8th grade from the State Scientific Institution 'Institute of Modernization of Educational Content' of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine was made without competitive bidding, and the most expensive among them turned out to be the textbook from the publishing house 'Ranok'. This sparked discussions about accountability for the technical error in the calculations.
'We rechecked the documents once again. And we admit: indeed, there was a technical error in the calculation of the printing component.' - said Kruglov.
Representatives of the publishing house explained that the error occurred due to fatigue and stress from the conditions of military actions, but they took full responsibility for this situation.
As a result of the revealed mistake, the publishing house 'Ranok' reduced the price of the textbook for the 8th grade by half, acknowledging its mistake in calculations and taking responsibility for the situation that arose. This information will be useful for students and parents who buy textbooks, and also highlights the importance of oversight of financial aspects of the educational process.
