The USA deported German tourists for an unexpected reason.

Two German travelers, Charlotte Pol (19 years old) and Maria Leper (18 years old), arrived in Hawaii intending to start their journey, but they were detained by border officials and deported. The reason for this was that the tourists did not book accommodation in Hawaii, which raised suspicions among the border service about the possibility of illegal work. After a lengthy interrogation, the girls were handcuffed and taken to a detention center for deportees.
The travelers described their experience as shocking: body scanning procedures, special green inmate uniforms, moldy mattresses, and primitive toilets. Even the guards warned the girls not to eat expired food. The next morning, the girls were transferred to the airport and deported.
Representatives of the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs reminded travelers that the ESTA permit does not guarantee entry into the USA, and border officials can deny entry. The number of foreign tourists visiting the USA decreased by 12% in March compared to last year.
Fear of American tariffs and stories of delays
President Donald Trump's tariffs have instilled fear among travelers, and frightening stories of delays have caused many to think twice before flying to the USA.
A tourist tax is being introduced in Venice, the amount of which depends on the Time of ticket purchase. There is also a discussion in Turkey about reducing hotel prices and canceling all-inclusive packages.
