USA ready to recognize Crimea as Russian under peace agreement, - Bloomberg.

According to Bloomberg, the United States is ready to recognize Russian control over Crimea as part of a broader peace agreement with Ukraine. President Donald Trump wishes to conclude a ceasefire agreement, indicating his desire for such an accord. However, the seizure of Crimea by Russian troops violates international laws prohibiting the forcible acquisition of territory.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky publicly stated that the country's territories cannot be a concession to Moscow. Recognizing Crimea as part of Russia would be a major victory for President Vladimir Putin, who is eager for international recognition.
From the beginning of the negotiations, the USA has proposed a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine, including a ceasefire and easing sanctions against Russia. However, the Ukrainian delegation has yet to agree to conditions such as maintaining the frontline and leaving other occupied territories under Russian control.
It is worth noting that any agreement would be meaningless if the Kremlin does not agree to cease hostilities and guarantee security for Ukraine. Zelensky criticized the US proposals and stated that Ukrainian territories belong to the Ukrainian people and cannot be negotiated until a ceasefire is in place.
