USA: aggressive participant in the Capitol storming sentenced to 20 years in prison
American David Dempsey received a 20-year sentence for his participation in the Capitol storming in January 2021. Prosecutors noted that he was one of the most aggressive participants in the events, using various objects to attack police officers. The former leader of the far-right group of organizers of the attack received 22 years in prison.
Remember that after calls from Donald Trump, a crowd of people attacked the Congress building, leading to the death of five people and numerous injuries. Law enforcement agencies charged over a thousand people in these events and created a special committee to investigate them.
