A special gesture for referees who detect manifestations of racism will appear in the Spanish Football Championship.

A new gesture will be introduced in the Spanish Football Championship, which will signal cases of racism.
If cases of racism are detected or a complaint is sent from a player or security coordinator, the match referee will be able to show a special gesture - a cross with crossed arms.
Upon the first use of this gesture, the match will be suspended and a warning will be announced over the stadium loudspeaker. If the racist behavior continues, the game will be stopped, and the teams must go to the locker rooms.
After the third signal, the referee, together with the security coordinators, makes a decision to completely stop the match.
These changes will be included in the protocol of actions during discriminatory behavior and will apply to all tournaments under the auspices of the Royal Spanish Football Federation.
Recall that after winning the 2024 Copa América, the players of the Argentina national team performed a racist song about the players of the French national team.
