In the capital, there is a critical debt for heating and hot water: what awaits Kyiv residents.

The debt of the population for heating and hot water supply in Kyiv continues to grow. According to the director of the Energy Supply Company of Kyivteploenergo, Konstantin Lopatkin, the total debt amount is already 8 billion hryvnias, which is 6.5% more than at the beginning of the heating season.
The company offers Kyiv residents to solve the debt problem by signing a restructuring agreement under favorable conditions. However, the company warns of possible financial consequences for late payment of utility services.
Starting from 2024, the moratorium on penalties has been lifted, so for each day of debt, a penalty of 0.01% is charged. If the issue goes to court, inflationary charges and 3% annual interest are added to the principal amount.
At the same Time, debts can lead to serious restrictions, ranging from the arrest of bank accounts to the seizure of real estate and vehicles.
Konstantin Lopatkin emphasizes the importance of timely payments and the readiness of the company to meet consumers through the restructuring mechanism.
Let us remind you that heating in Kyiv will be turned off for 3-4 days.
