Ukraine finished the junior world championship in biathlon with one medal.

The junior world championship in biathlon took place in Ostersund, Sweden, where the Ukrainian team was represented by 16 athletes. During the competitions, which lasted from February 26 to March 5, 18 sets of medals were contested.
Ukraine managed to win one medal - 'bronze' from Oleksandra Merkusheva in the mass start-60 of the senior category. In addition, Ukrainians twice reached the top 5 in individual races and took fifth place in the youth mixed event.
Thanks to Merkusheva's bronze medal, the Ukrainian team finished the competition with a medal for the third Time in a row. Recall that in 2022, the Ukrainian team ended without medals.
In the overall medal standings, the Ukrainian team took 11th place, sharing it with athletes from Slovenia and Switzerland. However, this is the worst result for Ukraine in the last two years.
The top three places in the overall medal standings were occupied by the teams of France, Norway, and Germany with 15, 8, and 6 medals respectively.
