Ukrainian Army Found a Counter to Russian Glide Bombs - Media.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces have managed to neutralize Russian glide bombs that were previously decisive in territorial conquests. According to information from military bloggers close to the Air Force, this indicates a reduction in the effectiveness of these munitions.
Glide bombs are equipped with metal wings and satellite navigation, ensuring their high precision and range. Due to the absence of a heat signature, these bombs become a challenging target for interception. Additionally, they are guided from satellites.
It seems that Ukrainians have found an antidote to this dreadful weapon. When the satellite signal reaches the Earth, it is very weak. If a stronger signal on the same frequency is created near the receiver, it will mask the signal from space, explains a military expert.
Thus, Ukrainians can redirect the bombs, and Russians complain that they need more weapons and flights to achieve their goals. However, there are countermeasures against such interference, such as the encrypted GPS signal used by Western countries for their bombs.
The Ukrainian Air Force is receiving upgrades thanks to American F-16s and French Mirages. With this weaponry, their strikes become more effective. This has occurred due to the inertial navigation system, which makes them less vulnerable to the blocking of Russian satellites.
With glide bombs and modern fighters, the Ukrainian Armed Forces manage to gain an advantage on the battlefield. However, currently, this advantage is limited due to the insufficient number of such weapons.
