Ukrzaliznytsia warns about changes to several routes due to repair works.


The press release on the 'Ukrzaliznytsia' page on the social network Facebook reported that from December 17 to 20, repair works will be carried out on the Kolomyia - Chernivtsi section, which will lead to changes in the routes of some trains. During this period, passenger trains will travel to Ivano-Frankivsk station as the final destination, after which they will depart back.
Some trains will also be canceled, namely: Chernivtsi - Kolomyia - Chernivtsi and Chernivtsi - Vadul-Siret - Chernivtsi. There are also plans to launch a new daily international route Chernivtsi - Rava-Ruska - Warsaw with a transfer in Rava-Ruska. Tickets for this train will be available soon. It is also already possible to buy tickets for the new Chernivtsi - Kharkiv train, the first flight of which will take place on December 20.
Representatives of 'Ukrzaliznytsia' also reported that they plan to introduce an additional train from Kyiv to Chernivtsi for the winter holidays. Recall that on December 15, a new timetable for 2025 comes into effect, as well as a direct daily flight between Kyiv and Budapest numbered 9/10.
