Ukrainians' deposits increased by almost 600 billion UAH in three years.


The state of deposits in Ukrainian banks
According to the Deposit Guarantee Fund, as of May 1, 2025, the total amount of individual deposits in Ukrainian banks amounted to 1.43 trillion UAH. Over three years, the total increase in citizen deposits was 587.4 billion UAH.
It is noted that the national currency remains a priority for depositors, as deposits in Ukrainian hryvnias amount to 918.3 billion UAH, which is 25.5 billion UAH more than in the previous month. At the same Time, deposits in foreign currency reached 510.0 billion UAH.
The share of individual entrepreneurs in the structure of depositors is 3.2%, while in the structure of deposit amounts it is 11.0%. Their total deposits amount to almost 157.0 billion UAH.
Analyzing the provided data, one can conclude that Ukrainians still trust banks as a place for saving and increasing their funds, with the overwhelming majority preferring deposits in the national currency. The increase in the number of deposits by individual entrepreneurs is also interesting, which may indicate growing confidence in the country's financial system.
