Drivers in Ukraine will have to pay for another service.

The Main Services Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported about the possibility of preserving license plates when changing cars. Now Ukrainian car owners have the opportunity to surrender their state registration plate for temporary storage to the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs if they sell a car but want to keep their favorite number.
To do this, it is necessary to inform the administrator of the service center during the re-registration of the vehicle and fill out an application, sign it, pay for the storage service, provide a receipt, and surrender the license plate. This approach allows car enthusiasts to keep their favorite license plate and attach it to a new vehicle, preserving individuality and convenience.
This approach allows car enthusiasts not to lose a liked license plate and subsequently attach it to a new vehicle, keeping individuality and convenience.
If the storage period for the license plate is about to expire, it can be extended online. To do this, one must log into the Driver's Cabinet, select the appropriate service, specify the extension period, and pay the payment document, which is generated automatically.
The cost of storage is 10.80 hryvnias per day, and payment must be made before the current storage period ends. The main advantage of this service is that the owner does not need to personally visit the service center to surrender and register the license plate for a new vehicle.
Previously, drivers were explained whether they can show their licenses at checkpoints.
